Singing Together in 2026

As 2026 gets underway, it’s a good moment to pause and reflect on just how powerful singing together can be — whether that’s in a packed concert hall or a lively pub on a weeknight.

One of the standout moments recently was the Dover House Singers concert, which raised an incredible £1,367. It was a brilliant evening of music and generosity, and a real reminder of how much impact a group of voices can have when they come together for a shared purpose.

Alongside this, Pub Choir continues to do what it does best: bringing people together for relaxed, joyful singing. Week after week, people arrive claiming they “can’t sing”, and leave smiling, having shared an hour of music, laughter, and connection. No auditions, no sheet music, just the simple pleasure of singing with others.

What ties all of this together — the concerts, the choirs, the pub nights — is community. Singing creates space for people to meet, connect, and support one another, whether that’s through raising funds, sharing a song, or simply enjoying being part of something together.

As the year unfolds, I’m hugely grateful to everyone who continues to support, sing, and show up. Here’s to more great music, more shared moments, and plenty of singing still to come in 2026.

Much love,

Carl
