Singing for the Coronation

With the Coronation Bank Holiday weekend coming soon, it is no surprise that I have been asked to lead sing-alongs and entertain at several events to celebrate the occasion.

It’s been great fun finding suitable music for each event in order to set a celebratory atmosphere but also give attendees a chance to sing along with some old favourites they will be familiar with.

I realised today, however, that this was quite challenging! After much deliberation, I decided on a short set-list of British favourites to include with my existing (and quite extensive!) repertoire of great songs for the 40s, 50s 60s and 70s: Jerusalem, Land of Hope and Glory, Rule Britannia, I Vow To Thee My Country, We’ll Meet Again and The White Cliffs of Dover.

I do hope my audiences appreciate them! Wishing you all a restful and enjoyable Bank Holiday weekend.
